project process

Petal Organic operates in the manner of an architect, utilizing a progressive approach that defines and refines the project in stages. This method enables us to understand, respond to, and bring to life a vision that enhances the exterior space of your property. We have broken down these steps into three milestones.

  • Phase 1: Design and definition of a transformation project

  • Phase 2: Project studies and costing

  • Phase 3: landscaping and planting

Phase 1: Design and Definition of a Project

During this initial phase, our focus is on understanding your property and your vision. Through comprehensive consultations, we establish a clear direction with a fixed-price mission to project. From the first meeting, we provide:

  • An analysis of the survey and relevant regulations

  • An intermediary review to guide the project

  • A conceptual sketch of the landscaping project

  • Budget estimates with multiple options

Phase 2: Project Studies and Costing

Once the general design and budget are approved we transition to the technical phase; preparing for the implementation. This involves selecting plants, lighting, materials and determining precise construction costs.

Key deliverables include:

  • General layout plans

  • Planting schematics

  • Technical plans (drainage, electricity, irrigation, etc.)

  • Custom details (fountains, metalwork, bespoke furniture, fireplaces, pergolas, outdoor kitchen, etc.)

  • Final cost breakdowns with optional features

  • Project timeline and installation schedule

Finalizing this phase involves signing an agreement contract

securing the project deposit which typically represents about 5% of the project cost.

Phase 3: Construction and Planting

Once the project is approved, we organize our teams to begin implementation. These teams include engineers and architects, experts in native plants, construction, masonry, drainage, irrigation, electricity, metalwork. Our role is to manage these teams, to ensure the follow-up of the work in accordance and adheres with the initial project plan, budget, and timeline. We remain committed to project oversight until final completion and handover.

Post-installation we provide ongoing support for plant establishment and offer complimentary replacements up to one year. Additionally, we offer optional maintenance services to promote sustained plant health and growth.

Our initial meeting serves to provide detailed explanations of our process. We are also eager to discuss themes such as the circular economy, sustainable development practices and the benefits of native plant species.
