This Indian Springs Home off Flintridge in the Woodlands and Its huge 1 acre lot had experienced ears of neglect and abuse and many failed DIY when our client bought the place. Most of these beautiful big custom homes back up to spring creek and expert drainage and retention is much needed in every one of them. So much erosion I can’t even tell you. We have worked on several of these homes but this one really stands out because of the amount of creative freedom we were given. The clients gave me a list of their wants including “get rid of all the exposted aggregate which was everywhere….so we did. Using some really awesome materials. So many fun elements were dreamed up in group meetings and implemented for this family to enjoy.
A separate recycled Bamboo deck pad for the dining table under the stars. A lollipop Eagleston holly partition to separate the sports courts from the main patio helps divide the multi use spaces.
The BBQ counter and built ins are solid slabs of flagstone expertly cut and chisled to fit the new grill. A dividing wall doubles as bench seating for the pool area just on the other side.
This Flare Hibiscus really brings on the color and flash for months at the burning end of summer. A nice tropical touch for behind the pool.
These Large patio sized thick flagstone slabs for a nice tandem stroll all the way around the yard, Palisades Zoysia for the win in the shady areas.

With close proximity to the huge windows we added many hummingbird loving perennials like this Mexican bush sage and repeat blooming Cinco de Mayo rose.
Flagstone step stones lead up the slope to the BBQ and Pool area neatly tucked in behind the shrubbery.

This custom corten Firepit we designed to be oversized so that a crew of kids and their friends can all gather round. Electronic ignition and cute fireballs to boot.
An initial request of the client was a place for pick up volley ball hence the fields of Zoysia and a bocce ball court.
